Steam Assist System
introduces heat directly to the glue lines
Improve production speeds of multi-wall corrugated webs and heavy weight liners. The K&R Steam Assist bar introduces heat directly to the glue lines prior to bonding. The Steam Assist System permits the starch adhesive to 'pre-gel' by raising the BTU level of the glue line before the double-backer.
This process better insures that the adhesive will have enough heat to set, bond, and cure before reaching the cutoff end of your machine.
Steam bar is fabricated from durable stainless steel material to provide long years of service.
Motor operated valve to apply steam is activated by the machine speed switch. A manual switch controls steam activation.
Perforations on the steam bar originate approximately six inches inside your maximum paper width. This is a pre-ventative measure to prevent injury from nearby live steam.
Interchangeable ends on the steam bar permit the plant to install as a right or left hand device.
